Mr. Kritdisorn Kornketkamon, NPS Executive Vice President, said “NPS always emphasizes on the importance of living sustainably with the community and environment. That is why we organize this creative activity with the community continuously in many aspects. For example, this time we gather the people from the area around Laem Khao Chan Temple, including the executives of NPS, NPS staff members, Laem Khao Chan District Administration Organization members, Village Headman, teachers and students, as well as the abbot of Laem Khao Chan Temple, to join the reforestation of 1,000 trees in the public area behind Laem Khao Chan Temple. We strongly believe that the building of green space gives many benefits, not only providing more green space to the community, but the tree also helps decrease the environmental pollution, and increase a better life for the community and environment. It can also be a source of food and a resting area for the people in the community. All of that is the target of NPS to drive a better community and society.
Senior Monk Artornpanyapateepo, the abbot of Tha Mai Daeng Temple (Laem Khao Chan) said that, they also see the importances of the reforestation that will give shading area to the village. When NPS reached out and asked for the reforestation in the temple area, we strongly supported having more trees in the community.
NPS has continuously organized the environmental projects in both Prachinburi and Chachoengsao provinces. This is the second year that the activity “NPS Joining Forces to Sustainability” has been organized. In the first year, NPS had planted 300 perennial plants in front of Laem Khao Chan Temple according to the needs of the people in the community. They are satisfied and thrilled to see those trees growing and giving shade to the community. This year, NPS continues the activity by rearranging the deserted area behind Laem Khao Chan Temple to be the community forest, full of many types of plants, such as perennial trees, fruit-bearing trees, and herbal trees.
NPS believes that the reforestation to increase the green space will bring the love, the harmony, and the unity between the people in the community, the government organization and the private sector in the area, to care for the nature and environment, which will also become a source of food, natural learning area, and resting area which corresponds to the real needs of the community in the future.
